When this book was recommended to me, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that forest bathing isn’t about vague or complicated practices—it really has solid substance: How and why can the forest benefit us and even heal us? How can we effectively tap into this potential for ourselves? I always believed that forests were good for us—but what was new to me was the scientific proof that spending time in the forest actually strengthens the immune system. The book explains this competently and in a way that’s easy to understand, even for non-medical readers. The author herself tested it in an experiment with friends and had it scientifically monitored—making for a fascinating read!

The audio guide is a great practical tool for winding down and recharging your batteries in the forest. It includes movement, breathing, and mindfulness exercises designed specifically for forest walks. The content is delivered clearly and without any annoying “mindfulness blah-blah,” instead offering lots of positive ideas and insightful explanations about the forest. The authors never impose anything—you can follow everything at your own pace and focus. I use the program to support my health since I can no longer do long hikes because of a slipped disc, but I still need nature to clear my head and feel good. I vary the exercises depending on how much time I have. I’ve already visited several forests, and after just two or three hours I feel like I’ve had a short vacation. It’s amazing how well the program works everywhere.
Highly recommended for anyone interested in Shinrin Yoku and forest bathing, or anyone who, like me, enjoys being outdoors and is open to new experiences.
