My offering: IM-WALD-SEIN® as a universal health concept
IM-WALD-SEIN®: the natural answer to psychological stress and lifestyle diseases
No other natural space…
…is as easy to reach, as rich in experience, and as versatile as the forest. Just being there, without pressure or effort, helps us unwind. The forest touches us. Its atmosphere awakens our senses, invites us to slow down, observe, and simply be. It stirs emotions and thoughts—many of them deeply positive and even healing.
As stress melts away, we breathe in healthy forest air—like a natural form of aromatherapy. Forest air is full of phytoncides and terpenes—bioactive plant compounds that float invisibly around us and interact with our immune system in powerful ways.
What we need today is a shift in mindset: going into the forest just to be there—IM-WALD-SEIN®. It’s a bit like returning to a place we once called home, reconnecting with something ancient and familiar. Not because it’s trendy or new-age, but because it’s deeply restorative. The forest is our natural habitat. Until around 10,000 years ago, humans lived in the forest—and it shaped who we are.
A natural forest environment, combined with terpene-rich forest air, is a powerful combination that strengthens body, mind, and spirit. Shinrin Yoku, as taught by Dr. Qing Li, and Forest Therapy based on the IM-WALD-SEIN® method, are two powerful ways to tap into the forest’s healing potential and bring more nature into modern life.
Together with my interdisciplinary team at IM-WALD-SEIN®, I’m working to establish forest immersion as a recognized and widely supported health strategy—and to bring it into mainstream medical care. I give talks, take part in expert discussions, lead courses, seminars, workshops, and coaching programs on Shinrin Yoku and forest therapy.
Our IM-WALD-SEIN® Toolbox—the original and leading self-care program for forest-based health (based on Shinrin Yoku by Dr. Qing Li)—has been met with great enthusiasm. Why not give it a try yourself?
About Mha@imwaldsein®
